VILLA TAPESH, NEW DELHI

A wide range of luminaires was developed for all areas of a mega residential villa spanning 4,000 SQM in New Delhi, India.

Owned by the prominent Goenka family, Lightsculptures exclusively designed for their villa a comprehensive lighting experience with the showstoppers being two enormous chandeliers inspired by the Mandala, a geometric configuration of symbols commonly employed in various spiritual traditions practiced by Hinduism and Buddhism.  The laser cut metal canopy forms the Mandala motif and is illuminated by GU10 spotlights placed internally at the optimum position for the best lighting effect.  Anchored onto the Villa skylights, the chandelier was designed to play with light, both natural & artificial, and shadows.  Other bespoke luminaires in the collection round out the rest of the Villa.
